Justified by Faith

Confess and Believe
What must I do to be saved? This is the question most believers have asked at some point. The surprising answer to the question is simple, but it is not shallow. Confession and belief seem like easy tasks, but they come with weighty implications.

Undeserved
God’s love for us is not based upon our ability to “tidy up” the sin in our lives before coming to Him. The Bible tells us that WHILE we were still sinners, Jesus willingly went to the cross on our behalf (Romans 5:8).

The Good News
Recognizing that we possess a sinful nature that separates us from God can be quite sobering; however, God’s extravagant grace upon us was manifested in the finishing work of Christ Jesus on the cross. We deserve death but instead receive the free gift of eternal life from our merciful God (Romans 6:23).

Before we can understand our need for salvation, we must first acknowledge our status as sinners. The world provides many measures for assessing our worth, but only one true standard – the Bible – reveals how we measure up to a perfect and holy God.
